Zechariah: As read by the disciple, John
"And one will say to him, “What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.” Zechariah 13:6
Sometimes when I read he Bible I am transported back in time. I get caught up in the historical narrative and in the lives of the characters involved in the passages. Other times I am taken into the future where visions, dreams and beasts capture my imagination. I neither live in the past or the future. Time with my Redeemer who is vividly described by Bible prophets happens right now.
Every day I get to read, to understand and to incorporate Jesus in my life. The imagery utilized in the Bible helps me better grasp how He wants to be present, how He wants to bless, and what He intends for our future together. For these things I am very indebted to Zechariah.
